Hey, lads and lassies! Yep, changed it up. Anyway here's another switch-up: I'm in the middle of writing my first film. Now at this point I won't go into too many details, however, I can and will tell you that it is an action film. And there is a high contrast between not only the personalities of the main and secondary-main characters, but there are quite a few notable differences. Despite these differences, they work well to face the main adversity in which said main character is faced with. The first run of the script is almost complete and in a relatively timely manner.
Now, How does a musician come to decide to one day, out of the blue write a film? You may be asking yourself(selves). The answer is simple, yet complex, actually. I have always been apt to writing—and at a young very age telling—stories. But even then, why a movie and not a book, a novel even? Well, there are two reasons. First, I had always wanted to write one, and had even started to—just without proper knowledge of what how do so. And secondly, the original idea for idea came from a dream I had; one in which it was like i was in the worlds best cinema.
At first, to be completely honest, I was so worried that I would mess it up, or even that it would be better off written by someone other than myself, that I almost gave up. In fact i spent three days not working on it on the first week (right after I had finished my outline to the point I had wanted it) contemplating on whether or not I was actually going to go through with this. Ultimately I found there were more reasons to than not to, and also had some confidence boosts and encouragements too. All in all I'm pleased so far!
So, that's it! That's how a not-so-well-known musician such as myself became an amateur film writer. Can't wait until the next stage in this journey—and hopefully one day, to make it into an actual film.
